Godesia is going on Vacation!

I'm buried under a pile of custom orders till the end of the month and then I'm taking a well deserved vacation. The shop will be closed until I get back. In the meantime I'm planning a couple of clothes collections; A Bronte Summer Slumber Party (see the pics below for a little preview) and A Midsummer Night's dream dress collection.

I also found some more of that wonderful cravat lace for the Mod Mini dress and may offer up a few more of those as well.

I'm leaving you with some pictures of the FAB fabric I found for the Midsummer Night's dream dresses. All so light and airy, YUM! And I got some lovely iridescent lame's to boot. I'll be having lots of fun in July with this new fabric stash....

Sneak peak - Lightweight Summer Gown

Here's a little preview of what's coming down the pike here in GodesiaLand. I'll be making a series of these super lightweight cotton gowns that are just perfect for a soft summer night. So light and crisp that the dress needs no petticoat, it's puffy and beautiful all on it's own.

The bodice is lined with my heirloom quality cotton batiste and has a one snap closure in the back. I've used a fine quality French lace to adorn the bodice and hem. Sweet and romantic...

Spring Garden Cardigan

 If you like the Spring Garden design on a hat you may like it just as well on a sweater. Many thanks to Cat for her fabulous idea! These little wool sweaters have been adorned with lots and lots of buttons, beads, sequins and embroidery to match the Spring Garden kitty hats and have working buttons. They can be worn with the buttonholes to the front or back for 2 different looks.

This little cardigan is $35.00 with $4.00 shipping in the US or $3.50 first class international. All items shipped in the US have Signature Confirmation. This insures that the item will not go missing and can be replaced if lost.

Butterfly Dreams kitty hat

Brand new and coming down the production pike we have the Butterfly Dreams kitty hat. This little hat is 100% wool and felted with love in my washing machine and then adorned with a wee caterpillar sitting on a mushroom, who is dreaming of the day she will become a beautiful butterfly.

The caterpillar and mushroom are 100% cotton and appliqued on the hat. The butterfly is cotton fabric and has a wire armature with an interfacing backing with embroidered antennae.  The body of the butterfly is made of rhinestones. Embroidered leaves with flower buttons complete the scene.

Spring Garden Felted Kitty Hats

 Spring has sprung here in Florida and I've got flowers on the brain. Thought I put a few on Blythe too. I'm taking commissions on these hats, so if you would like one just email me through Flickr or etsy and tell me what color you would like. Each hat is 100% wool and ties under the chin. Liberally adorned with buttons, sequins, rhinestones and my hand embroidery, each one is customized a tiny bit to suit the hat color.

Felted kitty hats with sparkly bits

I put a few finished kitty hats in the shop this afternoon. Each is 100% wool and decorated with buttons, beads, sequins and rhinestones. If you would like a custom hat in a particular color just convo me thru etsy or flickr. The hats are $30 each with $4.00 insured shipping in the US or $3.50 first class international.

Mod mini dresses on the loose!

Here they come! Seven little charmers. Each is cotton with a velcro closure. A white lace cravat and rhinestone bead complete the look. Fray-checked seams. I'm out of this wonderful lace so I don't know if I'll ever be able to offer these again. I'll keep looking though...

Update on wools for felted kitty hats

Lucky me, I found the elusive yellow and orange today at Joann's. I picked up a rose pink, seafoam and a couple new greens as well. The light peach is a bit washed out in this photo, but it's solidly peach. The fire engine red is way too saturated. I couldn't get it to render correctly, but it's a Santa Claus red, take my word for it.

Plain wool felted kitty hats

I have some unembellished wool felted kitty hats available right now. I was going to jazz them up a bit, but there seems to be a demand for the plain type. No problem!

Mod Mini Dresses are in 'Da House

Eight swingin' little mini dresses are ready for the shop! Each dress has a lace cravat with a pretty rhinestone flower and tiny bead detail. The neckline and cuffs have enclosed seams and all the rest have been fray-checked. This dress closes in the back with velcro. A nice solid little piece at a nice little price: $20
