New Year, new outfit!

I have decided that the ballerina petticoat is just the thing to ring in the New Year! This is a double layered petticoat with two crocheted trims. The tulle is nice and soft and pouffy. It has an elastic waist and is easy to get on and off. I'm planning to make a selection of these, plain with no edging for the shop (they'll be easier for buyers to coordinate with their wardrobes that way, much cheaper and less time consuming for me to make, as well). If you want a fancy one, email me and I'll give you a price. Well, I'm off to ring in the New Year with my sister Priscilla, her husband Michael and my brother Peter. I have a couple orders to fill and then I'll be on to tulle petticoats! Happy New Year everybody!

Merry Christmas from the Girls!

I had a lovely little Christmas celebration with the rental units and my brother, sister and her husband. The girls got to meet everyone for the first time and did a smash up job of decorating their very first tree. They, of course, insisted on Holiday outfits so I was very busy with their clothes. Barely got the whole thing finished in time. Whew! I'll be back in town in a few days with new stuff for etsy. Thanks for stopping by!

My fairy name

My fairy is called Moth Cornshimmer
She is a creator of bounty and harvest.
She lives close to crystal caverns and stalagtite grottos.
She is only seen when the first flowers begin to blossom.
She collects crystals to wear on her dresses.
She has butterfly wings the colour of yellow corn.

Meet Olivia!

Hi everybody! This is Olivia, a customized Goldie, wearing the cross your heart babydoll dress. Her sweet mommy, Laura, gave me permission to post these lovely photos of her wearing my dress. Check out Laura's etsy.com stores and her flickr stream for yummy goodies and wonderful photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/riffragz/ and http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5304748 for Blythe stuff, and http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5119804 for people sized clothing. Thanks Laura, I just love these photos!

Pink filet redoux

I re-tooled this a bit; took the flower off and put some rhinestones along the collar, added a snap in front under the large rhinestone. I think it works a bit better this way. I'm going to try this in black and maybe gray. Must go crochet....

Gold lame thistle flower top

This is the latest thing I've been working on. Gold lame! Yikes this stuff is difficult to work with, but the result is stunning. It's hard to see the depth of the gold in this bad phone photo, but it really sparkles. The fabric is not very flexible, and difficult to get on the doll, but once it's on, WOW! This and a silver version will go up on etsy.com in a few days. Gotta go....

Pink filet swing sweater

Here's the latest creation. Pink filet. This is very much like the duster, but has a cute little peter pan collar and a hook and eye closure under the flower. I'm going to do several of these in yummy colors. Still working on the cd project. Must dash....

Miss Heather of Woollyrockers

Yea! The wonderful Liz, Miss Woollyrockers herself, gave me permission to share her lovely doll with you. Introducing Heather, wearing a thistle flower babydoll top. Thanks Liz! And, if you don't know already, Liz makes darling sweaters for Blythe. Check out her etsy.com store and flickr page.
That's all for now.... Bye!

Happy Greetings!

Got a fabulous photo today from Miss Woollyrockers herself. Waiting for permission to post the image. Can't wait! I'm also working on a new sweater in the style of the duster I recently made. I'm making it in a soft pink. Should be yummy. I got a bunch of sales today, so I'm getting everything ready for the post tomorrow and trying to finish off a cd design. Time to go back to work....

Sneak peek at the flowered helmet

Here is Ronnie modeling my flower power helmet. Bad camera phone photos, but I think you can see what I'm up to. I'll do the nice photogaphy for flickr and etsy.com.

Pile of crochet rubble

Here is the latest pile of crochet coming down the pike. Full steam ahead to etsy.com. I became obsessed with hats 2 days ago and just had to do these. Very inspired by Ruth's euro trash helmets, I just had to make some with my little twist on them. We'll see if you like them too. This pile is what my life looks like right now, just mounds and mounds of crafting stuff.

Duster for Blythe

So, here is the latest creation I've been working on. It's a duster. I love dusters: lightweight open coats. I have several myself. Casual and dashing. Thought my lovely Ronnie would look good in a duster. What do you think? Should I add this item to my etsy.com store? All comments welcome.

Getting Started

Hi Everybody!

I thought that it might be a good idea to have a place to yak about my new Blythe doll clothes business. Neither Flickr nor etsy.com really allow for much of a discussion on things, sooooooo...... time to blog! I also wanted a place to provide links and tutorials and patterns for doll clothes etc. as well as preview new stuff and get better feedback from those of you who like (or dislike) what I'm doing. Maybe a freebie or two as well....... Comments welcome.
