Blogged AGAIN!

Sweet Jean has given me an interview in her blog! Long, LONG ago, before Blythe was even a twinkle in my eye, I was in love with jewelry design. I even designed a line of crocheted jewelry, but not much came of it and like a cheatin' husband, my eye wandered to other things, namely Blythe! Jean ferreted it all out of me and you can read about my artsy travails here!

We've been blogged!

The adorable Jean (jny jeanpretty on flickr) has a darling beading blog and has given Godesia a wee plug! Yea!! She is a jewelry designer and writer who covers jewelry artists and books on beading as well as lovely tid-bits and stories on her life in her blog. Go have a  look....

This her doll Miss Jewels, who is a Prima Dolly Tokyo that has been customized by Zaloa27. Lucky Girl! Those custom eye chips are knocking me out! If you would like a pair of custom chips from Zaloa27 you can request them at her etsy store.

Thanks ever so much Jean!!! And a Merry Dolly Christmas to you all.....

Six full length dress sets are over in the shop, just waiting for a party minded girl to snap them up! Each set has loads of trim, sequins around the waist, a velcro closure (for easy on and off) and a matching hair bow (with a hairpin attachment). Two of the sets have matching full length petticoats.

Plain party dress sets are $25 and sets with petticoats are $30.

More Christmas Mini's!

I re-tooled a favorite pattern of mine (my itty bitty baby doll top) into a mini dress and encrusted it with laces, and sparkly Christmas trims. Each of these dresses have button details and a velcro closure for easy on and off. The eyelash trim was sooooooo small it had to sewn on by hand. Ditto the tinsel trims. If you see anything here that has sold in the shop, just drop me a line. I'll gladly re-make it for you. Happy Holidays sweeties!

Christmas time in GodesiaLand...

Snow drifting over pretty pines and the smell of apple cider and yummy baked goods waft through the house..... Pleeeese! It's a sunny 74 degrees here in Florida today, not a snowflake in sight. I must admit I miss the northern winter fun and it makes it a bit harder to get in the Christmas spirit, but I'm doing my best.

In the shop I have a few Mod and retro styles to amuse you, a smattering of hats and some more goodies to come. If you see anything that has already sold just give me a holler on etsy or Flickr and I'll remake it for you.

Thanks for looking!

Computer problems resolved (mostly...)

After being without a computer for almost a month now, I finally got myself back in the saddle with a new one. And may I say that as much as I do rely on and love computers, I've pretty much had it with PC. Next computer will be a Mac. I won't bore you too much with the details, but lets just say that if an operating system won't let you install software without a huge fight then it's a piece of junk. It's been 2 days since getting this new beast and it still won't let me install iTunes, OpenOffice, or Safari. System 7 looks pretty, but my God, give me a break already with 3 different levels of Windows 7 (home, pro, and ultimate) and the hefty price tags as you go up the scale. I haven't even tried to get my Adobe design suite on yet. Without them I'm pretty much dead in the water.
OK, enough with the computer moaning...

In the meantime, I've been sewing my little fingers off to complete the Brontë Slumber Party Collection. I'm almost done. I'm currently working on Gothic Lolita dresses and have finished Cami's, bustiers, baby doll tops, pantalettes, petticoats and bloomer onsies. Next up will be bloomers, bra's and panties.

Here are a few work-in-progress photos of my tiny camisole to amuse you while I finish up the Slumber Party....

Here's the pile of bodice fronts all done and ready for cutting.

Pattern pieces in place and ready to cut. The back piece wasn't right and I had to re-cut it later.

 Pieces cut out.

Sewing the sides to the front.

Getting ready to double stitch the sides for stability.

Top lace and straps in place for sewing.

Top lace stitched and turned and ready for top-stitching.

 Closer view of the above.

Top stitching done. Bottom lace in place for stitching.

Bottom lace on and ready for top-stitching.

 Close-up view of the above.

Getting ready to attach straps and put in the velcro.

Straps sewn in, bows in place and velcro on.

 Close-up of velcro.

 Done!

 With the matching fancy petticoat.

 Three little cami's.

We stand up all by ourselves....
